Both are suburbs south of Nashville in Williamson County. Franklin has a walkable historic downtown of shops and restaurants and a mix of historic and newer neighborhoods; Brentwood sits closer to Nashville and is known for larger-lot residential neighborhoods with quick interstate access. The right fit depends on whether you want a walkable historic downtown or a residential community nearer the city.
